Over the next month, Congress will be forced to make major decisions about the future of the Postal Service. YDA is committed to standing with our brothers and sisters from National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), American Postal Workers Union (APWU), National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU) and National Rural Letter Carriers Association (NRLCA).
On Tuesday, September 27th from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (Local Time), there will be Save America’s Postal Service informational rallies in nearly every congressional district across America. You are strongly encouraged to join NALC, APWU, NPMHU, NRLCA and other community leaders at these events.

These events are designed to encourage Congress to pass H.R. 1351, legislation that addresses the financial crisis facing the Postal Service. The rallies will engage the public through speeches, handouts and gatherings to make our voices heard. These events are not protests.
It’s anticipated that a wide variety of supporters will participate in “Save America’s Postal Service” rallies, including small business owners who use the mail to advertise, businesses that consistently ship products using the Postal Service, and faith leaders and progressive allies who have concerns for the plight of working men and women. YDA is proud to add our voices and support to this effort.
