Chris James, president of the New Jersey Young Democrats, issued the following statement tonight on the death of former Congressman John Adler (D-NJ):
New Jersey has lost a tremendous public servant and a good man today. Congressman John Adler was the epitome of the words public servant. Throughout his time in public life, whether it be on the Cherry Hill Town Council, the New Jersey State Senate, or the United States House of Representatives, John always fought for the needs of his constituents. John was always a supporter of the Young Democrats and we are eternally grateful.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to John’s wife, Shelley, their four boys, and the entire Adler family. New Jersey is better for John Adler having served. He will continue to be an example of true leadership and integrity.
