Latinas commemorate Roe v Wade

As we mark the anniversary of the historic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion, it is my hope that the Latina voices in favor of comprehensive healthcare—which includes abortion—remain strong.

In recent years, Congress has created a toxic environment in Washington, and the 112th Congress appears to want to strip away Latinas' and all women’s rights to reproductive autonomy. We cannot allow Congress to interfere with personal decisions about abortion. We all care about immigration, education, and jobs, and we care deeply about women’s access to a full range of reproductive health services. Fighting to uphold Roe v. Wade must remain a priority for all Americans.
