CDA State Fed Spotlight: DC Federation of College Democrats

The District of Columbia College Democrats visited the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia on October 1 and October 2 to campaign on behalf of Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. Eighty-two College Democrats from American University, George Washington University, Georgetown University, and Trinity University knocked doors as a part of get-out-the-vote efforts in advance of the October 4 gubernatorial special election that Gov. Tomblin would go on to win.

In the course of the trip, DCCD knocked approximately 8,340 doors in Martinsburg, Charlestown, Harper’s Ferry, and Ranson. DCCD also made 1,400 calls from call lists and a number more from the campaign’s automatic dialer, bringing our total voter contact number to 1,960.

This is just one example of the amazing work College Democrats are doing every day.
