Congressman Lujan to keynote YDA fall conference in Albuquerque

This is one final reminder about the YDA Fall National Conference on November 18 – 20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Online registration ($55) closes tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. (EST).  After that, only on-site registration will be available ($75).

The YDA Meetings & Training team, in conjunction with the Young Democrats of New Mexico, has worked hard to bring exciting guest speakers and high caliber trainings to the upcoming conference.

We are proud to announce that Congressman Ben Lujan (D-NM) will be the featured keynote speaker in Albuquerque.  Rep. Lujan is one of the youngest Democrats currently serving in Congress.  Since he was sworn into office in 2009, he has been working to get our economy back on track, reform healthcare, invest in clean energy and make higher education more affordable.

Also joining us will be Eric Zoberman, Deputy Youth Vote Director for President Barack Obama’s re-elect campaign, to talk about the importance of young voters in 2012.

There is less than 24 hours left to register online for the upcoming meeting!  Please register by 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, November 11th.  After that, only on-site registration will be available.

YDA Announces Fall 2011 Conference Location and Dates

We are excited to announce the 2011 YDA Fall Meeting, which will take place on November 18 – 20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Business meetings will begin after noon on Friday with the official opening session at 6:00 p.m. that evening. The conference will run throughout the weekend and conclude by noon on Sunday.  A more detailed schedule will be available in mid-October.

The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque. Rooms are $95 per night. Please reserve your room by clicking here or by calling (888) 421-1442.

Conference registration is now available online.

-  Early Bird registration ($45) will be open until 5:00 p.m. EST October 14

-  Regular registration ($55) will then be in available until 5:00 p.m. EST November 4

-  After 5:00 p.m. EST on November 4, only on-site registration ($75) will be accepted

The focus of our fall meeting will be to prepare for the 2012 election cycle, and we will offer a number of trainings to facilitate the professional and political growth of our members.
